My grandmother had her funeral here back in the 80s when I was a little girl. When my father passed I knew it is where I wanted him to be. I couldn’t have asked for a better place for him in such a horrible situation. He was treated with respect and so was I. In such a devastating situation they made me feel comfortable and content to know that my father was handled with care and respect. Everyone I made contact with was very personable and everyone there seemed to love their job. Definitely recommend.

My family and I have been fortunate enough to have Wujek Calcaterra handle the arrangements for our loved ones on more than one occasion, the kindness and compassion they have always shown us has been comforting to say the least. Our most recent interaction was with a young guy Max, he was great very helpful, respectful he was awesome. Mike was the one to call me the evening my Mom passed, Mike is another great guy who happens to be a friend of my cousin so he's familiar with my family always a comforting plus. So thank you very much for everything 🙏

After a long illness my husband passed away at home recently. We’d not discussed specific arrangements but I had attended funerals here and knew it was a nice place. As we waited for the hospice nurse to arrive, I reached out to this funeral home and was so impressed with their no nonsense but caring staff. From the gentlemen who helped transport my husband to the funeral director Dave who helped us make decisions based on our priorities without pressuring us once to buy something fancier or more expensive than we needed. The day of the visitation and the day of the funeral went off without a hitch and gave us some meaningful closure. My husband would have loved his funeral and that is the best compliment I have to offer to the whole staff at Wujek Calcaterra. Thank you for taking care of my family so well.

My father's best friend was Lou Calcaterra and when he died, Lou took such good care of him. This was over thirty years ago. Many other family members have passed and my family has always use them. Now my 'mom' is being buried from here and again I will be making the trip back home. I know she is in good and capable hands. If I still lived in Michigan, these would be the people to handle my own funeral.

I’ve been to Wujek-Calcaterra many times over the years for viewings. The experiences had always been as pleasant as possible considering someone had passed away. My Mom lost her battle with COVID two weeks ago. When deciding which funeral home to have her laid out at, it was a no-brainer. From the initial call to the Funeral Director, Lisa, it was obvious we made the right choice. Lisa is extremely compassionate, friendly and will do whatever it takes to make the day easier to navigate. The funeral home closes at 9:00 p.m., but there were a few of us that stayed until about 9:40. The staff never interrupted us and we were grateful for the extra time. The team staying an extra 40 minutes on a Friday night was certainly appreciated. Between Lisa being an incredibly awesome Director, the staff doing whatever we needed throughout the day, having the flowers and cards well organized for pick-up the following day, I’d recommend reaching out to Lisa and the team at Wujek-Calcaterra if/when you’re ever unfortunate to lose a loved one. A very difficult day was made much easier by being there. Five-star service!!

Lisa and their Staff did a wonderful job. Courteous, professional, and very helpful. My Dad passed away in Connecticut. Lisa and her team coordinated for my Dad to be sent here to Michigan where he can have a proper funeral services. Dad looked so peaceful as if he was napping. No signs of Dad being sick at all. Double Thumbs-Up if you are considering to use them.

I highly recommend Wujek Calcaterra. They have performed 3 funerals for my family and my wife's family over the last three years. They are kind and friendly and took care every last detail for our parents' funerals. The entire staff works together and are very courteous and professional. The Shelby Township location is beautiful and comfortable. Our viewings have been exceptional.

Nobody ever wants to come to a place like this, but they do a very good job. Staff are caring and considerate of the situation, and do everything they can to make this an easier process.
